The 2026 Gazetteer SF Reader Survey Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Gazetteer Inc., located at 575 Market St., Fourth Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105 (the “Sponsor”). Participation in the Sweepstakes is subject to the following terms and conditions (the “Official Rules”).
ELIGIBILITY
Subject to these Official Rules, the Sweepstakes is open exclusively to permanent legal residents of the United States who: (i) reside in one of the fifty (50) U.S. states or the District of Columbia; (ii) are at least nineteen (19) years of age if residing in Alabama or Nebraska, or at least eighteen (18) years of age if residing in any other state or the District of Columbia, as of the date of entry; and (iii) are familiar with and have complied with the Sponsor’s Terms of Service.
Employees of the Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and any other entities involved in the development or administration of the Sweepstakes, as well as their immediate family members and members of their households, are not eligible to enter or win.
THE SWEEPSTAKES IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW, WHERE REQUIRED BONDING, REGISTRATION, OR OTHER CONDITIONS HAVE NOT BEEN SATISFIED, OR WHERE THE ENTRY METHODS DESCRIBED BELOW WOULD CONSTITUTE CONSIDERATION. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
ENTRY PERIOD
The Sweepstakes opens on October 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time and closes on December 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the “Entry Period”).
HOW TO ENTER
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the Sweepstakes. During the Entry Period, eligible participants may enter by completing the 2026 Gazetteer SF Reader Survey. Each eligible email address may be used to submit one (1) entry only. Participants must complete the online entry form and submit their email address to be included in the Sweepstakes.
By submitting an entry, you acknowledge and agree that any non-public personal information or other information you provide, or that the Sponsor collects in connection with the Sweepstakes, may be used in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and shared with the Sponsor’s affiliated business entities. All information submitted to the Sponsor as part of an entry becomes the property of the Sponsor.
By entering, you acknowledge that your internet service provider or mobile phone carrier may charge data or other usage fees in connection with your participation.
Entries that (1) fail to meet the eligibility requirements outlined above, (2) are submitted using scripts, macros, or other automated methods, or (3) are fraudulent are prohibited and will be considered void. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any such entries.
ANY BREACH OR SUSPECTED BREACH OF THE SPONSOR’S TERMS OF USE OR THESE OFFICIAL RULES MAY RESULT IN YOUR IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES.
PRIZES
The following prizes will be awarded as part of the Sweepstakes:
- One (1) $100 gift card to Bi-Rite Market.
- Two (2) winners, each receiving two (2) tickets to each of the following four (4) shows at Cal Performances at Berkeley:

SELECTING THE WINNERS
Winners will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries submitted.
If a dispute arises regarding the identity of a potential winner, the entry will be attributed to the individual whose name is associated with the entry and who submitted the earliest qualifying entry.
Winners will be notified by email no later than January 6, 2027. If a selected entrant is determined to be ineligible or does not respond by January 11, 2027, the Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining pool of eligible entries.
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASES
The Sponsor’s decisions regarding all matters relating to the Sweepstakes are final and binding.
By entering the Sweepstakes or accepting a prize, you agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. At the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a winner may be required to complete applicable tax forms as a condition of receiving a prize. Winners may also be asked to provide proof of identity, address, and date of birth before a prize is awarded.
Unless prohibited by applicable law, accepting a prize grants the Sponsor permission to use the winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, address (city and state), and testimonials in any media and for any publicity purpose the Sponsor considers appropriate, in perpetuity and without compensation. No review, approval, notification, or additional permission will be required. Acceptance of a prize also constitutes consent to the disclosure of personally identifiable information to third parties, including the publication of the winner’s name on a winners’ list.
An entrant or winner may be disqualified if the Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that the individual has failed to comply with any provision of these Official Rules. Participation in the Sweepstakes is at the entrant’s own risk.
The Sponsor will not be responsible or liable for:
- Notifications that fail to reach a winner, are returned, or are sent to the wrong address due to inaccurate information provided in an entry.
- Entries or responses to winner notifications that are lost, delayed, incomplete, or not received, in whole or in part, or for computer or other technical errors.
- Electronic communication errors or failures; hardware or software malfunctions; unavailable or interrupted network connections; or computer transmissions that are failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed and that may prevent or limit participation in the Sweepstakes.
- Telephone network malfunctions, online system failures, computer equipment or software issues, program errors, delayed transactions, network connection problems, or other human, mechanical, or technical failures, whether occurring individually or in combination. This includes any injury or damage to an entrant’s or another person’s computer or mobile device arising from downloading the App or otherwise participating in the Sweepstakes.
- Any warranty relating to a prize or any part of a prize.
ALL PRIZES ARE AWARDED “AS IS.” THE SPONSOR DISCLAIMS ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING ANY PRIZE.
REGARDLESS OF ANYTHING ELSE STATED HEREIN OR ELSEWHERE, THE SPONSOR AND/OR ITS VENDORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE, WHETHER UNDER CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY, FOR ANY MATTER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING: (A) SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR EXPECTED PROFITS; (B) LOSS OF DATA OR THE COST OF OBTAINING SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; OR (C) ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE REASONABLE CONTROL OF THE SPONSOR AND/OR ITS VENDORS.
By entering the Sweepstakes, you release and agree to hold harmless the Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliated entities, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, and representatives from any damages, injuries, death, losses, claims, actions, demands, or other liabilities (collectively, “Claims”) arising from or relating to your participation in the Sweepstakes, your acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, or any misuse or malfunction of a prize awarded. This release applies regardless of whether the Claims, or knowledge of the facts giving rise to them, exist at the time of entry or arise afterward.
Anyone who attempts to defraud or otherwise interfere with the Sweepstakes may be subject to prosecution to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Sponsor reserves the right to revise these Official Rules at any time and in any manner. The Sponsor also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, or suspend the Sweepstakes, or any portion of it, if fraud, technical problems, or any other circumstance beyond its control compromises the integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. If the Sweepstakes is canceled or suspended, the Sponsor will promptly post a notice on its website.
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree that any dispute or legal proceeding arising from or relating to the Sweepstakes will be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, in accordance with the Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures of JAMS. Any judgment on an arbitration award may be entered in a court with appropriate jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Sponsor may seek equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be restricted or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
