Chat Room: Love to feature the fabulous Mary Vice, Bonita Rose, and Militia Scunt

Everything sucks out there, but you gotta find joy where you can get it. So if by next week you’re ready to stop doom-scrolling and partake in some human interaction, we cordially invite you to meet up next Thursday, Nov. 14 at Swedish American Hall. 

We’ve made some late but incredibly important additions to the program: the iconic and vivacious San Francisco drag queens Mary Vice, Bonita Rose, and Militia Scunt will put their talents on display with performances between panel discussions! 

So don’t forget your dollar bills…

Mary Vice is a staple of the drag scene in SOMA and the Tenderloin, working closely with her drag mother, Mr. David Glamamore, to create fashions for SF’s drag elite and throw a weekly party, Pillows, every Monday at Powerhouse. She also emcees SF’s longest-running drag show, Hot Boxxx Girls, every Friday at Aunt Charlie’s.

Bonita Rose believes that her artistic expression is her greatest power. By drawing upon a divine feminine energy, she is able to transform into a fantasy come to life. Bonita stays true to her vision by making, designing, upcycling, and styling all of her fashions herself. 

Militia Scunt is a Drag Queen, singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, community activist, and co-founder of the Bay Area Queer Nightlife Coalition. She is a local icon who was also a contestant on the second season of Queen of the Universe and winner of Behind the Pageant season 1. Get ready to #JoinTheMilitia. 

And let’s not forget our MC, Jillian Gnarling, a Bay Area born and raised full-time female impersonator and part-time talking head. She is known for her hot jokes, honest takes, and will be your fearless guide through Chat Room: Love!

Chat Room: Love is happening Nov. 14 at Swedish American Hall. 

Tickets include free flow beer and wine from 6:30-9:30pm. This event is 21+.
